Barbara Backman
Vice President & Senior Trust and Compliance Officer

Barbara Backman serves as Senior Compliance Officer and Senior Trust Officer of First National Bank of Santa Fe. Prior to joining the Bank, Barbara served as Senior Vice President and Fiduciary Manager for Santa Fe Trust, Inc., a privately owned trust company with assets under management of $500 million.

Barbara retired from the practice of law in 2001 and moved to northern New Mexico with her husband, Blaine, who is a self-employed businessman.

During her free time, Barbara enjoys traveling with her husband, getting together with her friends and neighbors and spending time doing yard work and enjoying the terrific weather offered by New Mexico.
