First National Bank does not encourage overdrafts. As always, we encourage you to manage your finances responsibly. We provide overdraft services to keep you from being declined due to an inadvertent lack of funds. Talk to a personal banker to see which of our three plans may be right for you.
A discretionary overdraft privilege that may pay up to $750 limit on transactions such as pre-authorized debits, telephone initiated transfers, overdrawn checks, automatic bill payments and other electronic transfers rather than return them for insufficient funds.
If you would like CheckPay to also cover your one-time debit card and ATM transactions, then you MUST provide us with your consent by opting in.*
If you do not opt in, CheckPay will not apply to your one-time debit and ATM transaction. These transactions will be declined when you do not have enough money in your account to cover them. However, you will not be charged any overdraft fees.
Restrictions apply, including a 120 day waiting period for new accounts (please see the CheckPay description in our current Terms & Conditions brochure for all the details). CheckPay is an expensive method of overdraft protection. There is a $33 fee for each overdraft item, plus a $4 per day charge effective on the first day of the overdraft and applicable for each day that the account remains overdrawn. There is no limit on the total fees we can charge you for overdrawing your account.
*You can opt in at the time you open your account, or anytime after by calling 992-2000, visiting us at any office, or you can click here to download our opt in form. You can also cancel your opt in at anytime by phone, in person, or by using the form.
Funds are automatically transferred from your First National Bank savings or checking account to cover overdrafts in your primary checking account.
Balances of both accounts are combined to prevent overdrafts and ensure that one-time debit card and ATM transactions are approved at point of sale or time of withdrawal. There is a $10 fee for each transfer.
A flexible line of credit that is tied to your checking account, letting you borrow up to any approved amount whenever you need it. Acts as automatic overdraft protection. QuickDraw advances are issued in multiples of $100. There is a $3 fee for each QuickDraw transfer. A QuickDraw line of credit is subject to credit approval.
